Entry of food into Montenegro limited for tourists ( 2008-04-21)
| Tourists who are coming to Montenegro will face unpleasant surprises in the border crossings: limitation of entry of food and beverages and obligatory payment of eco-taxes. Thus the old habit of some tourists of coming to holidays with supplies of food and beverages and spending money only on tomatoes or ice cream will be stopped. According to spokesperson of the Ministry of Tourism Jelena Paovic, the Parliament of Montenegro reached a law on food safety at the end of last year, which established the basis and principles for a possibility of high level of life and health protection.
