Montenegrin growth is the biggest in the region ( 2008-04-22)
| The International Monetary Fund (IMF) believes that Montenegro should realise the highest rate of economic growth in the Western Balkan region this year with 7.2 percent, but next year the economic expansion will be lower and amount to 5.4 percent. Its analysts believe that the inflation in Montenegro at the end of this year will amount to 4.8 percent, while it will decrease to 4.1 percent next year. Only Albania will have lower inflation than Montenegro this year, while inflation in Croatia, Macedonia, Albania and B-H will be lower than in Montenegro next year. IMF believes that the Montenegrin state budget will record a surplus of 2.7 percent of GDP this year. (Republika) |
