Montenegro in NATO in the next summit ( 2008-09-27)
| Professor at the Faculty of Civil Defence in Belgrade and military analyst Zoran Dragisic said that the invitation to Montenegro to access the Adriatic Charter means that it will be invited to full NATO membership in the next summit in Strasbourg. He pointed out that the official invitation of the USA on behalf of the members of the Adriatic Charter means a step forward to NATO for Montenegro because members of the Adriatic initiative are practically countries that received an invitation to NATO, except for Macedonia, which has an issue with the name (only Greece was against). This practically means that Montenegro is included in the first round of NATO anlargement. (Republika) |
