| On Friday, September 26, Montenegro was officially invited to become a full member of the Adriatic Charter, in which it had the status of an observer until now. Member countries of the Adriatic Charter – Albania, Croatia, Macedonia and USA – decided to invite Montenegro and B-H to join them in a meeting of ministers of foreign affairs in New York, in the margins of the session of the UN General Assembly. A report of the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that Assistant State Secretary of the USA for Europe Daniel Fried invited Montenegro and B-H to become full members on behalf of the member countries.
