Bring Russians and Scandinavians ( 2008-06-23)
| Montenegro needs to focus on becoming a highly esteemed and prestigeus tourist destination for a certain group of people who will come here to stay for a longer period. In other words, it has to focus on elite tourism, but it has to choose the market carefully, marketing guru Philip Kotler said on Friday in Budva. Kotler also explained that Montenegro should not be developing mass tourism, because it would generate more pollution and congestion. I would be very careful when forming Montenegrin tourist brand, because tourist industry is suffering in many countries because of their excessive popularity, Kotler said. He believes that Montenegro should focus on Russians and tourists from Scandinavian countries who would like to come to a country with comfortable climate after their long winters.
