Collapse or beginning of a new era? ( 2008-08-03)
| The summer tourist season in Montenegro is characterised by smaller jams than during the past years, but the question if this is a collapse or the beginning of a new era remains open. President of the Government Milo Dukanovic believes the latter is in question. The official data show that 292,490 tourists stayed in Montenegro from January 1 to July 1, which is around 12 percent more than in the same period last year. The number of overnight stays was 1,565,191, which is an increase of 19.3 percent. In the same period, the number of domestic tourists increased by 23 percent, of foreign by around 9 percent, and incomes from turist amounted to EUR 94.9m. (Vijesti) |
