High prices scared the Serbian tourists ( 2008-08-11)
| Executive Director of Montenegro Business Alliance (MBA) Darko Konjevic said that if someone does not want to come to Montenegro because of EUR 10 of taxes, then that tourist is probably not ready to spend a lot in the country. He said that the only problem is that eco tax should have been introduced at the beginning of the year, so that the people could get used to it, and not in mid June and announce it only 15 days earlier. He believes that this has not jeopardised the season because Montenegro decided for elite tourism. However, Konjevic says that the time of transfer from the mass to elite tourism has to be filled with guests who do not have a lot of money. (Republika) |
