Montenegro is the 30zh in the list of 125 countries ( 2008-08-19)
| Montenegro took the 30th position in the list of 125 countries of the world ranked according to the favourability of the developing market for investors, which was made by the German agency Bertelsmann Stiftung. This year, Montenegro was placed as an independent country for the first time, and it was awarded a Bertelsmann Transformation Index (BTI) of 7.28 out of the possible 10. According to the degree of democracy, Montenegro took the 26th position with an index of 7.85, while the quality of market economy was marked with an index of 6.71, which put it in the 38th position.
