Mild increase in interests ( 2008-11-02)

Interest rates in most countries in the region of the Western Balkans are influenced by competition, legal regulations and measures of central banks, as well as movements in the international financial markets.

The Institute for Strategic Studies and Projections (ISSP) informed that the analysis of average weighted interest rates in the countries of the Western Balkans in June 2008 showed their mild increase regarding the end of 2007.

The reasons for that are the beginning of the big global financial crisis, the increase in inflation rate in the EU and countries of the region, as well as restrictive measures of central banks of certain countries.
