Strategic goal of Montenegro is membership in the NATO and EU ( 2008-11-05)
| On Tuesday, November 4, the Safety and Defence Commission of the Montenegrin Parliament supported the proposition of the strategy of national security of Montenegro suggested by the Government. The ruling coalition voted for the proposition, while Velizar Kaluderovic (SNP) and Goran Batricevic (PZP) were against. Minister of Defence Boro Vucinic said that the strategic goal of Montenegro is to become a member of NATO and the EU as soon as possible. He said that newer experiences have to be accepted if Montenegro wants to enter the collective security system. Vucinic pointed out that the strategy defines the development and functioning of the system of national security of Montenegro. (Republika) |
