Investors love conveniences ( 2008-12-03)
| During the visit to the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, President of the Montenegrin Parliament Ranko Krivokapic said that, in the competition with bigger and more developed systems, Montenegro can survive only as an open economy which offers maximum conveniences to investors. He said that direct foreign investments, which amounted to EUR 1bn last year or EUR 1,600 per citizen, are recording an increase of 15 percent this year with improved structure. Krivokapic explained that, with the reform of the fiscal system, Montenegro is creating a modern, simplified tax system, harmonised with the international standards, which attracts foreign investors.
